2024 Webinar Series: Art and Testimony

The Art and Testimony Webinar Series of 2024 is co-hosted by the Survivor-Centred Visual Narratives Project and UBC-V Public Humanities Hub. This webinar series brings critical issues in arts-based research into a contemporary focus. It engages with art not only as a tool for knowledge mobilization but by centring on how art is an impactful form of participatory action research. The Art and Testimony Webinar Series emphasizes how the creation of visual narratives can enhance the traditional process of testimony collection, which is often linear and language based. Arts-based methods provide a unique opportunity to pursue a more collaborative and relational process of working with testimony.
